Dear Customers

It has been 19 years since the first product, Organic 120, was launched in March 1999.

Since its launch, our commitment to “maximum safety and minimum environmental impact” has remained unchanged, and we are constantly making updates to this commitment. We are sincerely grateful to everyone who has supported us and made many suggestions to make this a reality.

In 1999, we boldly introduced low impact dyeing (safe and environmentally friendly dyeing) and boldly added color to organic towels, and it was a lie that Ikeuchi had been labeled as not organic.

The reality surrounding cotton has deteriorated dramatically during this period, and as of today, almost all cotton other than organic cotton has been converted to genetically modified cotton. This reality is not known to anyone, and a silent spring continues.

As of today, our company is using organic cotton for pile yarn, weft yarn, under yarn, and even for name tags. Cotton Nouveau, Organic 960, and Straits Organic 240 are organic even to the sewing threads, and the company as a whole is 99.95% organic cotton. This is a clear distinction from the many organic cotton blends and organic products in the world, where only the pile yarn is called organic.

In terms of safety, in 2002, we became the first towel manufacturer in Japan to receive Oeko-Tex Standard 100 Class 1 certification for Organic 120. 16 years later, almost all of our products are now certified.

There are no limits to safety, and new hazards can emerge unexpectedly, but with the aim of achieving an even higher level of safety, we have begun production at our main factory in accordance with ISO 22000, the global safety standard for food factories. The towels made under HACCAP standards are woven with the dream of being the first towels to fly into space.

We are pleased to ask for a price revision effective September 1, and we hope you will understand our firm belief in manufacturing.
We are committed to compliance so that we will never pursue excessive or complacent quality, and we would appreciate your honest feedback.
