Don't fall into the trap of being only formally eco-friendly
The act of production itself is an environmental burden.

We use wind power, which is a renewable energy source, for all of our electricity, and we make sure that the wastewater from our dyeing factories is clearer than ocean water.

Towels woven by the wind
We are 100% wind-powered, which is why our towels are sometimes referred to as "wind-woven towels.
However, we do not own our own windmills for wind power generation.
As a customer, we have been using the green power certification system provided by Japan Natural Energy Company Limited since 2001, which links wind farms nationwide with companies that want to use green power.
A Dyeing Method that Considers People and Nature
The dyeing process is the most energy-intensive part of the towel manufacturing process.
Low Impact Dye" aims for dyeing that is safe for the human body and has a low environmental impact.
We dye our towels based on this concept.
Dyeing is carried out at INTERWORKS, a dyeing factory located in Saijo City, Ehime Prefecture, the water capital of Japan.
For washing, we use groundwater from the Ishizuchi Mountains. For dyeing, we use reactive dyes that do not contain heavy metals.
Dye left on the towels is carefully washed off over five hours for darker colors, and the wastewater is treated over a long period of time using bacteria in a purification facility that meets the wastewater standards of the Seto Inland Sea, which is considered the strictest in the world.
Towel Maintenance
Towels are not consumable goods, but rather, beloved items. The more you use them, the more they will become more durable.
We want our customers to use our products for a long, long time.
We offer a maintenance service where we take our customers' towels, maintain them at our headquarters factory, and return them to their original condition.
Manufacturing products that extend the life of our products and keep them in use by our customers for a long time is a key part of our corporate philosophy of "minimum cost".
Minimizing environmental impact is a major pillar of our corporate philosophy.
The best way to achieve this is for our customers to care about our products and become attached to them.
If a product should become badly soiled, it will be remedied and returned to customers We believe that our customers will be more attached to their products when they come back with the stains improved.
This is the basis of our towel maintenance service.
