Organic Cotton
Organic relationship we build with all life.
We want to deliver the safest towels in the world.
Organic 120 was born in 1999 out of this desire.
Since then, we have been delivering products woven with organic cotton.
So, what is the difference between regular cotton and organic cotton?
At IKEUCHI ORGANIC, we have the following three conditions.
-
First, the cotton must be organically grown without the use of pesticides or chemical fertilizers for at least three years.
The product is not considered organic until the pesticide residue in the soil of the field has been eliminated within three years. -
Second, the seeds must not be genetically modified.
Genetically modified seeds are strictly eliminated from the production line so that human hands can harvest large quantities of homogeneous cotton more quickly and efficiently. -
Third, it is fair trade.
The farmers who produce the cotton must be under safe and hygienic working conditions, be paid a fair living wage, and continue to purchase the cotton at a fair and stable price.
Originally, organic cotton accounted for only 1% of the world's cotton production.
The reason for this is simple: organic cotton production is very labor intensive.
It is different from increasing production lines by machines in factories.
We have to be honest with all the natural environment and people we interact with.
Only when all environments are prepared in a pure manner, can we truly enjoy a comfortable texture.
That is our concept of organic cotton.

IKEUCHI ORGANIC shares REMEI's corporate stance and believes that bioRe cotton is the purest organic cotton in the world.
Cotton Nouveau
Cotton is a plant, and its quality cannot be uniform from year to year.
Differences are what make it truly organic. Let's enjoy the difference of cotton like wine.
Cotton Nouveau" was created as a new way to enjoy organic cotton, using only organic cotton harvested in the previous year.
Since its launch in 2011, part of the proceeds from the sales of Cotton Nouveau have been used to pay for the installation of wells in Tanzania, where the organic cotton used as raw materials is produced.
Our goal is to install 20 wells in 20 years with the hope of making the lives of local producers more affluent and comfortable.
